The Ag Fair POSTER Contest
Open to all children or students from the fourth through the twelfth grades, poster submissions should depict the fair theme: "The Business of Agriculture: The Way Forward." Posters must be submitted on 11"x14" or 22"x28" poster board. They may be presented in either orientation - landscape or portrait.
Posters will be judged on depiction of the fair theme, educational content, neatness and organization. Special emphasis will be placed on originality and creativity of the entry. Entries may be submitted in the medium of your choice and may be three-dimensional in nature. Be sure to apply the necessary fixative when using charcoal or pastels. All poster entries should be submitted with name, school/group, and grade clearly printed or affixed on back, lower, right-hand corner of the poster. The first, second and third place finishers will be awarded prizes. Winning posters will be prominently displayed at the fair.
All entries must be submitted to the Director of Youth Activities and/or the 4-H Office located in the UVI Research and Extension Center, Room 116, on or before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Judging of entries will take place on Friday, February 8, 2008. Due to the large number of submissions, no late entries can be accepted.
