The Ag Fair POSTER Contest

This contest is open to all children or students from the fourth through the twelfth grades. Entries will be judged in three categories: elementary (grades 4-6), middle school (grades 7-9), and high school (grades 10-12).

All poster submissions should illustrate the fair theme:

AGRIFEST 2012: "Youth in Agriculture - Growing Our Future"

Contest rules:

• Size: 11" x 14" or 14" x 22"; other dimensions may result in disqualification.
• Margins: ¼”; winning posters will be framed!!!
• Medium: Any medium
• Color: white only
• Orientation: either landscape or portrait orientation.
• Submit FLAT; do not roll, fold or bend.
• Theme must appear on the poster.
• The following information must be printed clearly on the back of each poster:
  • Student’s name (LAST NAME, First Name) - please print
  • School or group affiliation
  • Grade
  • Teacher/adult sponsor

Posters will be judged on:

• expression of the fair theme,
• originality,
• evidence of research and educational thought,
• artistic merit and creativity, and
• neatness, grammatical correctness and visual appeal.

First, second and third place finishers will be awarded prizes. Winning posters will be prominently displayed at the fair.
