Floats will be judged in four categories

• Section I: Grades 1-3
• Section II: Grades 4-6
• Section III: Grades 7-8
• Section IV: Open; ages 15 and above

Floats will be judged on:

• Originality
• Neatness
• Overall appearance
• Craftmanship
• Use of Materials
• Use of Theme

Rules and Regulations:

• Only one float per person.
• Any size shoebox can be decorated for display.
• Material of all types can be used except for food; candy is allowed!
• Size of the finished float cannot exceed 2" more than the shoebox in length and width.
• Name, age and grdae, address and phone number must be printed legibly on the bottom of the box.
• Entry deadline is Friday February 8, 2008. Entry forms (if not submitted online) must be completed and submitted to the
  Director of Youth Activities, UVI Research and Extension Center, Room 116.
• Floats must be brought to the V.I. Agriculture and Food Fair, Farmer's Market Building on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Judging will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
• Floats must be picked up at the Farmer's Market Building on February 18 after 6:00 p.m. or on February 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
