YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Skill-a-Thon Arena

The Skill-a-Thon Arena will allow children and adults alike to test their agriculture knowledge and expertise in a fun, hands on learning environment. Several stations will be set up and monitored by volunteers. At registration, each participant will be given a card that they will get stamped or punched at each station. Once they have successfully completed each station, they will turn in their card and received a grab bag and certificate of participation.

Skill-a-Thons will be set up and open on Saturday and Monday. They provide a great opportunity for teachers, volunteer leaders or other educators to encourage their students or members to learn more about a variety of agricultural topics. Presented in a fun, interactive and safe environment, children and their parents can discover the importance of proper animal identification, the science in agriculture, and safety behaviors that are important at home, on the farm, or at the fair.
