Li'l Red Wagon Float Contest and Parade Entry Deadline Friday, 2/3 4:30 pm 4-H Office UVI-CES Room 116 or sdahl@uvi.edu Open to all schools, youth groups and educational programs. All float entries must be pre-registered and will be expected to participate in Pre-Opening Ceremony Parade.
Poster, Essay, Poetry Submission Deadline Friday, 2/3 4:30 pm 4-H Office UVI-CES Room 116 or sdahl@uvi.edu All poetry, essay and poster contest entries must be submitted by 4:30 pm; poetry and essay submissions must be submitted electronically to sdahl@uvi.edu
Groom Squad Competition Registration Deadline Friday, 2/3 4:30 pm 4-H Office UVI-CES Room 116 or sdahl@uvi.edu Open to any Pony Club, 4-H, FFA or other youth group members with an interest in horses. Does not require horse ownership.
Poster, Essay, Poetry Judging Tuesday, 2/7 12 noon UVI-REC Room 139/143 Winners will be posted on this website by 4:30 pm, Tuesday, February 8; winning entries will be displayed in the Educational Exhibits Pavilion during the fair.
4-H Clean Up & Decorate Day Saturday, 2/11 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Fairgrounds All 4-H members and other youth are encouraged to come out for this day of service to help get our fairgrounds in tip top shape for the fair.
Haybale Decorating Contest - Set-Up Saturday, 2/11 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Livestock Pavillion Haybales will be assigned; all entrants can begin design and decorations.
Educational Exhibit and Booth Construction begins Saturday, 2/11 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Farmers' Market Bldg. All participating schools and youth groups are encouraged to begin setting up their booth; construction continues throughout the week
Spoken Word Showcase Wednesday, 2/15 6:00 pm UVI Great Hall Open to the top five winners in the poetry and essay competitions. Poster winners will be asked to display their work.
Pass Distribution Thursday, 2/16 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Farmers' Market Bldg. All participating schools and youth group representatives.
Li'l Red Wagon Float due on grounds Thursday, 2/16 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Farmers' Market Bldg. All float entries must be delivered to the Farmers' Market Bldg; judging will take place on Friday, 2/18; all floats will appear in Pre-Opening Ceremony Parade
Shoe Box Float submission deadline Thursday, 2/16 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Farmers' Market Bldg. All shoe box float entries must be delivered to the fairgrounds by 5:00 pm; judging will take place on Saturday, 2/18 at 9:00 am
Li'l Red Wagon Float Judging Friday, 2/17 5:00 pm Farmers' Market Bldg. All float entries will judged and lined up for parade.
Booth Judging Friday 2/17 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Farmers' Market Bldg. All educational exhibits must be completed by 3:00 pm; judging will commence shortly thereafter. Each entry must be accompanied by one adult and three children; participants should be prepared to stay until 6:00 pm

Opening Ceremony 10:00 am Main tent 4-H Youth Garden Sweepstakes and Educational Exhibit Sweepstakes winners will be announced; designated poetry and essay contest winners will deliver their pieces as part of Opening Ceremony.
Agrifest Youth Calypso Competition TBA Main Tent Open to youth age 16 and under; entrants must have pre-registered to compete.
